1936 was the year Embassy Court’s first residents moved in. Sue Milnthorpe, Artist in Residence, is working with a group of residents to curate a program of events throughout the year.
The first of these will be a 1930’s style pop-up tearoom on the weekend of 21st & 22nd May (2.30 – 5pm), accompanied by a display of 1936 photographs and an exhibition of artists’ cakes on the theme of ‘architecture as a minor branch of cake decoration’.
Circus Kinetica’s Old Boiler Room Studio in the basement will be open for the four weekends of the Brighton Fringe Festival 12 – 6 pm.
Guided tours of the building are also available – please see the section on tours for dates and booking information.
Look forward to visiting for tea next Saturday 21st May. Good luck
